Job Title: Full Time Nanny

Hours: 7.45am – 6/7pm Mon-Thurs & half day Friday (approx 45hrs)

Nanny Profile: Experienced with age group, very reliable, loving and kind, engaging and pro-active, organised, gentle parenting aligned (but with boundaries and rules), empathic, muck-in attitude
Nanny Duties: Engage in creative play and activities, support learning and development, spend time outdoors, cook and supervise mealtimes, undertake
A family in Tufnell Park are looking for an experienced, mature and developmentally focused nanny to care for their two bright children. The ideal candidate will have a positive-reinforcment approach and will be able to emotionally support the children and be a guide and role model through good communication and explaining, rather than jumping to punishments and telling them off. They believe in boundaries, rules
Mum is freelance and works from home. When she’s not in meetings she would like to feel comfortable spending time with one or both of the children. The role is a mix of sole and shared care. it is very important that the nanny is reliable, and can back this up with strong references.
The 5yr old attends school, and the 3yr old attends forest school three mornings a week. The nanny will be required to keep on top of the childcare related household chores and batch cooking during the hours the children are at school/nursery.
Person Specification:
- Good level of spoken English
- Solid experience with age group
- Respectful and empathic approach (but still able to set boundaries)
- Organised, tidy & pro-active around the home (childcare related)
- Positive attitude
- Happy to work alongside mum
Job Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS Check issued in the last year, or willing to get one
- Proof of UK Right to Work status
- A valid pediatric first aid certificate, or willing to get one
- Minimum 2 checkable references
