Full Time International Job
Location: Stoke Newington over the summer, over to San Francisco for a couple of months, then back to London over winter months
Hours: 3-4 days pw (30-40hrs, Mon-Fri) with 1 overnight per week/every other week and weekly babysitting and international travel
Start Date: ASAP (ideally by the 16th May)
Salary: £52-£62,000 gross per year (£25-£30ph)
Children: 16month old boy
Driver: Ideally for international driving, but not a deal breaker
Languages: Ideally Norwegian, but not a deal breaker
Travel: Yes – Europe and San Francisco (notice given)
Nanny Profile: Happy to live in San Francisco for several months a year, experienced with age group, knowledge of child development, solid experience travelling as a nanny, experience working in a busy HNW household, positive attitude, engaging and pro-active, energetic, organised, flexible, able to travel frequently, sociable and happy to work jointly sometimes alongside parents especially when travelling, discreet and professional and able to read the room
Nanny Duties: Engage in creative play and activities, support learning and development, go to classes, spend time outdoors, cook age appropriate meals and supervise mealtimes, undertake usual nursery duties, help with travel arrangements and packing, happy to stay overnight for late babysitting finishes
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional, experienced, and proactive full-time nanny to join a warm, welcoming family based in Stoke Newington over the summer, relocating to San Francisco for a couple of months in the autumn, and then returning to London during the winter months.
The role includes international travel (including the US and Europe), with plenty of notice provided. You should be comfortable with frequent travel, adaptable to new environments, and happy to occasionally work in tandem with hands-on parents — especially while away.
Nanny Duties Include:
- Providing engaging, age-appropriate activities and creative play
- Supporting the child’s development with knowledge of key milestones
- Attending local classes and groups
- Spending plenty of time outdoors
- Preparing and supervising nutritious, age-appropriate meals
- Performing nursery duties (child-related laundry, tidying, organising)
- Helping with travel planning, logistics, and packing for trips
- Staying overnight when required for babysitting
Ideal Nanny Profile:
We’re looking for someone dynamic, kind, and experienced with toddlers who brings a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude. You should feel confident managing routines, understanding developmental needs, and supporting a vibrant family lifestyle that involves travel and variety.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have solid experience with toddlers and understanding of early childhood development
- Be energetic, creative, and engaging in play and daily activities
- Be organised, discreet, and professional, able to “read the room”
- Have experience working in high-net-worth households
- Be happy to work collaboratively with parents, particularly while travelling
- Ideally hold an international driving license (not essential)
- Ideally speak Norwegian (not essential)
- Be comfortable with extended stays abroad (particularly in the US)
