How To Apply for a Babysitter Job in London
Due to the nature of our jobs, you’ll need solid experience in a professional childcare role. This could include roles such as nannying, nursery assistant, school teacher, or similar.
It’s important that you meet all our required criteria. You will be taken through the same thorough 6-step registration process that our permanent nannies in London go through.
This means you complete our Babysitter Registration Form, attend an in-person or online interview, and have your documents verified and references checked.
You’ll need:
- At least 2 years professional experience in childcare
- An enhanced DBS police check, or be willing to get one
- Pediatric first aid certificate, or be willing to get one
- Valid ID
- Proof of Right to Work status
- Proof of address
- Verifiable references to cover last 3 years of employment minimum
- Proof of qualifications if you hold any
How Much Do London Babysitters Earn?
£15 per hour is the minimum standard rate
£20 per hour for special requirements or bank holidays
After 10.30pm your taxi fare home will be covered
bookings are minimum 4 hours, although the average booking is 6hrs in duration
